Training opens a route into paid employment
Ljavdrim, a caregiver at the RESURSEN CENTER association, described completing three months of training before obtaining a licence and full-time work. He told UNDP that regular income, pension coverage and health insurance had changed his working life. The programme reported more than 300 nationally recognised certificates.
Support makes daily activities possible
A March 2023 account from Veles followed caregiver Loreta Roguzarova, who trained through a local association of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. Her work included helping people prepare for the day and go out. Association president Daliborka Zlateva described training as a route from family experience into professional support. [2]
NGOs deliver services close to home
The approach built on contracts signed with six new NGOs on 7 March 2022. That initiative linked new jobs with social services in people’s homes and communities, supported by Swiss development cooperation. UNDP’s later reports described practical service delivery and employment gains as the programme developed. [1]
