Plans for care and rehabilitation
Biach describes a planned electronic patient transport authorisation. Information about necessary medical transport could be exchanged digitally between those involved. He expects this to simplify processes and reduce errors. In rehabilitation, he sees opportunities to support exercises at home digitally and maintain contact with therapists.
The interview also discusses prescribing health apps. According to Biach, the legal framework is being prepared. Assessment of the apps and rules for reimbursement form part of the project. The interview does not give a launch date for such a service. [1]
Services insured people can already use
One service already introduced is the preventive health pass launched in May. The Social Insurance Institution for the Self-Employed makes it available through its svsGO app and web application. Insured people can activate the pass and view eligible preventive services. Points for qualifying examinations and vaccinations are allocated automatically using medical billing data; the individual service does not need to be submitted separately for this purpose.
The insurer also provides access for people who do not use svsGO. They can have the preventive health pass activated during an appointment at a customer service centre or on an advice day. They can also apply for a bonus payment there. In-person advice therefore remains part of the service.
The online platform already allows users to send messages to the insurer, submit medical invoices and check the status of submissions. What matters in everyday life is which tasks a service actually enables people to complete, and where personal support remains available. [2][3]
