PubTrans4All — making rail boarding more accessible
Rodlauer Consulting coordinated the European research project. Its international consortium developed and tested a prototype boarding aid for railway carriages.
The project ran from 1 September 2009 to 30 November 2012 and received funding under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). The work also produced recommendations on boarding aids and their use. Trials were documented in Bulgaria and at InnoTrans in Berlin in 2012. ↗
The consortium included organisations such as Siemens, Bombardier, ÖBB, SBB, MBB Palfinger and TU Wien. These were project partners in the research consortium. ↗
