Training leads to a business plan
Quispe Cabrejos received two months of in-person and online training before submitting a plan to improve his baking and pastry business. His proposal was selected to receive a professional mixer and an electric oven. INABIF also reported that he worked part-time at Metro stores, where he had begun learning the trade.
Equipment is part of wider support
CONADIS described Emprende y Despega as a pilot combining technical advice, training, trade fairs and materials for entrepreneurs with disabilities and their registered organisations. Its campaign aimed to strengthen economic autonomy, with support delivered through CONADIS and the social development cooperation fund FONCODES. The published campaign is now marked as closed.
Autonomy remains the programme’s purpose
In October 2024, CONADIS recognised Quispe Cabrejos and three other independent-living participants among twenty-one honourees. Its president, Sandra Piro Marcos, urged coordinated work to close inclusion gaps. Both official accounts described the participants as residents of a care centre. [1]
