Choosing her own path
Linh recalled being discouraged from studying law because others doubted her employment prospects. She chose the subject anyway. Recalling a childhood question about her different hands, she explained: “Because not everyone is alike.” Her account linked the freedom to make choices with equal participation in education and work. Girls help define the research
Linh also contributed to the Transforming Disability Knowledge, Research and Activism project. Its October 2022 final report, which she co-authored, described how women and girls used photography, drawings and films to express their own experiences and challenge assumptions about disability. The approach connected their creative work with discussions about inclusion. [2]
Support beyond the classroom
Blue Dragon’s 2022–2023 report described individual and group career counselling, training and visits to employers for young people. It also recorded recognition in December 2022 from the Vietnam Relief Association for Handicapped Children for supporting children with disabilities. [3]
