Access includes information and communication

The law’s definition of accessibility reaches beyond buildings to transport, information, communication and technology. It also addresses adjustments for individual requirements. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development published an English explanation of these provisions, including access arrangements during investigations and court proceedings. [1]

Participation comes with legal qualifications

The text supports participation in managing personal affairs. Its provision on adult legal capacity, however, retains an exception linked to disability and the relevant rules. Disability-related restrictions on decision-making were therefore not entirely removed. [1][2]

Making the provisions available

The Saudi association Swaed published an Arabic booklet presenting the law’s chapters and articles. [1]
