A worker describes what employment changes
“Having a job is very nice. It used to be very boring when I stayed home alone,” Delgermaa said. She described wanting colleagues, friends and an income. UNDP’s account said the support included training at work and coaching, alongside help for employers to adapt their working environments.
Job matching involves public bodies and civil society
An October 2023 programme report described more than 50 disabled jobseekers taking part in an inclusive job-mediation event. Specialist coaches offered consultations, while participating employers included GS25 and other companies. The labour ministry, the disability development authority and disability NGOs were involved in the initiative. [2]
A later handbook shares lessons for employers
On 3 December 2024, the programme presented an illustrated handbook on employing people with intellectual disabilities. Developed from employment-support experience, it offered information and practical recommendations for employers and job coaches. Its stated purpose was to support access to work and sustainable employment opportunities. [3]
